The Savoy, a Fairmont-managed hotel, is one of the most celebrated of London landmarks, proudly standing on the Northbank of the River Thames. The ballet, opera and theatre of vibrant Covent Garden are just steps away; with the City, world-renowned museums and galleries, and the designer shopping of Knightsbridge and Mayfair within easy reach on foot or by taxi.
The hotel's 267 luxury rooms and suites celebrate The Savoy's dual historical influences, featuring either elegant English Edwardian design or sensational Art Deco style. Many afford breath-taking views across the River Thames, and of iconic London landmarks. Those staying in suites enjoy dedicated Butler service, and all guests have access to spa treatments, a private pool, and 24-hour gym in The Savoy's Beauty & Fitness.
Fine dining has always been an integral part of The Savoy, since world-renowned chef Auguste Escoffier set an unprecedented standard in 1889. Today Kaspar's Seafood Bar and Grill offers informal dining in a stylish Art Deco setting, whilst Gordon Ramsay's Savoy Grill presents a British Grill menu with a French touch. Furthermore, Simpson's-in-the-Strand and Knight's Bar remain steadfastly at the top of every Londoner's list for the best roast dinner and a sense of British tradition.
For cocktail connoisseurs, The Savoy boasts the Beaufort Bar, renowned for pushing the boundaries of mixology; and the legendary American Bar, the oldest surviving cocktail bar in London. The beautiful Thames Foyer, truly the heart of the hotel, is where The Savoy serves one of London's finest traditional Afternoon Teas, a custom that remains a British institution. Fresh patisserie, chocolates and bespoke gifts are available for guests to purchase in Savoy Tea. The latest addition to The Savoy is Melba, a take-away gourmet counter enticing passers-by with the finest fare directly on the Strand.
To this day The Savoy continues to be one of London's finest luxury destinations, where history is made and innovation happens. They look forward to welcoming you.

American Bar, The term 'American Bar' refers to a bar serving mixed or 'American' style drinks, more commonly known as cocktails. As transatlantic travel became more popular in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries, many American Bars opened throughout London. The American Bar at The Savoy is the longest surviving of these bars and one of the most iconic cocktail bars in the world. In 1903 the first truly 'famous' bartender arrived at The American Bar, a lady named Ada 'Coley' Coleman, whose signature cocktail was the Hanky Panky, still a popular choice today. Ada's successor was the inspirational Harry Craddock, who not only created a number of classic cocktails but who notoriously compiled these recipes into the legendary Savoy Cocktail book, still regarded today as the bartender's bible. The American Bar operates a no reservations policy.

Beaufort Bar, provides a theatrical, art deco setting in which to enjoy cocktails that push the boundaries. The team, headed up by Kyle Wilkinson, have created a menu designed to intrigue and excite guests with each drink listed entirely unique to the Beaufort Bar. Character Cocktails, served in era-specific vintage glassware and garnished tableside, pay tribute to four of The Savoy's most famous personalities, and The Impressionist, one of the Beaufort Bars most popular cocktails, arrives at the table with a smoking rose for that element of drama. For guests with more of a taste for champagne, the Beaufort Bar boasts an impressive selection of vintage and non-vintage champagne by the glass and bottle. The bar itself stands on the hotel's former cabaret stage, which was graced by such luminaries as Carol Gibbons, the Savoy Orpheans and George Gershwin. A tradition of live entertainment continues to this day with nightly performances by both renowned and up and coming talent, as well as monthly evenings of Cabaret and Burlesque.

Savoy Grill, by Gordon Ramsay is without doubt one of London's most legendary restaurants, frequented by celebrated diners such as Sir Winston Churchill, Oscar Wilde, Frank Sinatra and HM Queen Elizabeth herself. With hundreds of years' worth of Hollywood glamour, designer Russell Sage took inspiration from the restaurant's heyday and restored the original 1920's Art Deco features along with reinstating the original seating plan. The Savoy Grill delivers a plethora of menus to choose from including the Escoffier Menu, reviving recipes from the original Chef's days in the kitchen back in 1889. Dishes include glazed omelette Arnold Bennett and roasted fillet of beef with fondant potato and creamed wild mushrooms.

Melba At The Savoy, Located directly on the Strand at the corner of Savoy Court, this beautiful shop is The Savoy's take-away, gourmet counter. Open seven days a week, the menu at Melba is created by the fabulous executive pastry chef, Ludwig Hely. You will find a selection of sweet and savoury pastries, British sandwich classics, hot and cold beverages to take away, along with Savoy gift items and an extensive selection of a new hotel signature item...eclairs. Melba at The Savoy is named in honour of two greats: in the late 1800s, one Savoy executive chef was so enchanted by Savoy guest and Australian operatic soprano, Dame Nellie Melba, that he created menu items which have become cherished the world-over. Extolled for over 100 years both in the public and industry eye, Auguste Escoffier created both Peach Melba and Melba toast for the singer. The gourmet counter is a striking and elegant juxtaposition to the existing shops on the Strand, and complement to The Savoys existing collection of food and beverage outlets. Melbas interior design clearly defined by The Savoys restoration and incorporates the same striking black and white marble flooring, with hand-carved woodwork interiors and grey Italian marble counter tops.
Simpsons In The Strand, For a true taste of all that's best in British cuisine, there's no finer dining establishment than Simpson's-In-The Strand. It is the perfect place to enjoy either a pre-dinner cocktail or after-dinner aperitif. Please be advised that Simpson's has its own private entrance on the Strand.
Thames Foyer Afternoon Tea, The Thames Foyer is very much the heart of The Savoy. A stunning glass dome floods this sociable spot with wonderful natural light - and beneath this, a pianist serenades guests from a winter garden gazebo, as they enjoy our world-famous afternoon tea. Salon Couture High-Tea With Suzie Turner Renowned for its luxury fashion affiliations, stylish patronage and iconic heritage, The Savoy is delighted to announce a new collaboration with British couturier, Suzie Turner. The Salon Couture High-Tea with Suzie Turner has been inspired by the salon style fashion shows of the 1950s.
• Showcasing stunning couture gowns, the show will present ten to 12 looks from Suzie Turner's eagerly awaited collection. Featuring one-of-a-kind pieces, such as a dress with forty thousand hand-sewn emerald Nagoire flat feathers, and a gown made with twenty-seven thousand Swarovski crystals, the event will be a breathtaking show in an elegant setting.
• Pairing high fashion with high tea, guests at the salon will enjoy a welcome cocktail accompanied by a selection of delectable sandwiches, cakes, scones and eclairs, all created by The Savoy's Executive Pastry Chef, Ludwig Hely. The bespoke eclairs will be decorated with intricate sketches of Suzie Turner designs. Based around the 'Salon Style' fashion shows of the 1950s, Salon Couture High-Tea with Suzie Turner will be a true celebration of the history within the walls of The Savoy, harking back to the iconic couture shows held in the hotel back then. Christian Dior showed his second collection in autumn 1947 at The Savoy, and it was received with such acclaim that the Queen (the late Queen Mother) requested a separate private viewing the following morning for members of the Royal Family, including her daughter Princess Margaret. The choreography of the Suzie Turner show has been inspired by archive footage and the models will be taught to walk in the fashion of classic salon models.
