Dolphin Quest Dolphin Quest is an educational face to face encounter with bottlenose dolphins under the expert guidance of a professional staff in their own crystal clear lagoon.  

Dolphin Quest Hawaii program spaces are made available to the public up to one year prior to the date about which the guest is inquiring. Hilton Waikoloa Village is NOT responsible for reservations, accommodations and/or any part of the Dolphin Quest program. Therefore, the responsibility of booking reservations with Dolphin Quest falls with the traveling guest, the travel agent or wholesaler to handle all requests directly with the Dolphin Quest Guest Service Crew. Crew Members are available for calls seven days a week at 1-808-886-2875, faxed at 1-808-886-7030 or e-mailed at dqhawaii@dolphinquest.org.  

• Note: If all spaces are filled, guests are advised to speak to a Crew Member at the Dolphin Quest gift shop upon arrival for further options. During peak seasons, an 8:00am first-come, first-serve morning process is available for guests to sign up for spaces.  

Several notes are of importance in these procedures:  

• All available spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.  

• All program times and prices are subject to change throughout the year. Please check in with the Dolphin Quest Gift Shop or call Dolphin Quest directly to ensure accurate program times.  

• If the guest is not allocated spaces on the first attempt at the 8:00am morning stand-by process or the individual program process, the guest may repeat each of these procedures throughout their stay until they are able to participate in a program.  

• Dolphin Quest reserves the right to change or cancel programs.  

No Smoking Policy  

• All Rooms are Non-Smoking.  

• Outdoor Smoking areas are designated on the resort property map available at time of check in.  

• Smoking is not allowed in any guestroom or on any balcony/lanai.  

Early Check-Out Fee  

• In the event a guest checks out prior to the guest's reserved checkout date and by the posted 12:00PM check out time, the Hotel will add an early checkout fee to that guest's individual account. Guests wishing to avoid an early checkout fee should advise the Hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay. The current early departure fee is $100.00, subject to change. Excludes all non-refundable programs. Should guest be on a minimum night stay package and fails to meet the minimum length of stay for the booked package, guest will be charged the early departure fee directly and all package inclusions will be voided.  

• Rate will default to the daily net rate and additional package components will be charged retail rates based on usage.  

ADA Rooms We have a total of 97 ADA rooms on property. ADA accessibility varies from room to room. Once confirmed by Reservations, an ADA room is requested along with the type of accommodations the guest prefers based on the following criteria:  

• Mobility accessible with roll-in shower.  

• Mobility accessible with bathtub.  

• Hearing accessible.  

• Hearing and mobility accessible with tub or with shower.  

• E-mail or Fax the manifest to room reservations and they will fax back.  

Guaranteed Bedding  

• Guarantee of bedding type can be confirmed in advance based upon availability at $25.00 per room, per night, plus tax.  

• Applies only to clients desiring advance guaranteed bedding type and who agree to the charge.  

• Bedding types that can be requested are:  

• Palace Tower rooms have either one King Bed with a Full Size sleeper chair or two (2) Queen Beds.  

• Lagoon Tower rooms (Makai) have either one King Bed with a Single size sleeper chair or two Queen Beds.  

• Rooms with two beds do not include sofa beds.  

Guaranteed Connecting/Adjoining Rooms  

• Guarantee of adjoining/connecting rooms can be confirmed in advance at a fee of $50.00 plus tax per room pair, per night  

• Applies only to clients desiring advance guaranteed connecting rooms and who agree to the charge.  

• If connecting rooms are unavailable, reservations will advise via written communication and the guarantee will be placed on a request basis.  

• If guarantee of adjoining/connecting rooms cannot be confirmed in advance, it will be noted as a request on guests' reservation and, therefore, will have no additional charge should adjoining/connecting rooms be available upon guests' check-in.  

Please Note:  

• Palace Tower Ocean View rooms do NOT have connecting rooms.

Resort Charge There is a mandatory Resort Charge that the guests are responsible for. The Resort Charge includes the following:  


• Local calls and 800 access calls  

• High Speed Internet Access/Wi-Fi Access in guest rooms and all public areas  

• In-Room PlayStation 3 Console with unlimited movies and games  

• Daily cultural activities including Lei Making, Hula, and Ukulele Lessons -20% discount on Lagoon Beach Toys (non-motorized)  

• Keiki Pool Activities & Scavenger Hunt- Schedule listed on the back of Resort Activities Guide  

• Fitness or Yoga Class at the Kohala Spa: One class per person, per day from the existing fitness schedule. Space is limited and reservations are recommended.  

• Pool Toy inflation at Kona Pool and Lagoon Beach recreation desks. Inflatable pool toys will be available for purchase or guests may bring their own.  

• Big Island Bird Talk with resident wildlife specialist. Daily at 10:00am in the main Lobby. The talk will last approximately 30 minutes and reservations are not required.  

• Complimentary Photo Session and receive one (1) 4"x 8" photo (To schedule session, please visit the Resort Photography Desk located in the Main Lobby, next to Kona Tap Room)  

Guests must pay the Resort Charge directly to the hotel.
