Fun Fact: The Wailua, the Hanape’pe, the Lumahai and the Hanalei Rivers are four of the five navigable rivers in Hawaii. The Wailua River drains off Mount Waialeale, which averages 488 inches of rain per year and is considered the wettest place on earth.
